METAL

First, the metal parts are hand-polished to achieve a uniform surface and a satin gloss finish. Then, the furniture is submerged in various liquid solutions that, through electrolysis, provide specific coatings to the metal.

The process always begins with a nickel or brass base, depending on whether a silver or gold tone final finish is desired. Afterwards, the piece is reintroduced into baths with solutions of the desired metal—gold, silver, or copper—until the required final appearance is achieved. The last phase consists of applying a protective lacquer, also by immersion, which seals the finish and contributes to its durability.

The result is a coating of approximately 50 microns, although this may vary depending on the color and type of finish.

The metallic finish of our furniture has passed corrosion and humidity resistance tests for indoor furniture in humid areas with the highest score, according to reference UNE-EN ISO 12944-2.

Depending on the furniture, the metal can offer different finishes.

Chairs

The chairs are manufactured with different metal finishes, allowing the piece to be adapted to different aesthetic combinations and to the various materials in the collection.

Tapered Legs

The tapered metal legs are designed to offer a solid base and an architectural aesthetic. This element allows for total customization freedom: the client can choose their preferred color combination for the metal structure, regardless of the finish selected for the rest of the piece.

The main finish catalog is governed by the Antique Boutique color scale, guaranteeing absolute chromatic precision in the finish of each piece. This option allows the structure to be coordinated according to the project environment, either seeking tonal integration with the furniture or establishing a specific contrast.

Pedestals

Table bases can be made in all colors available in the Antique Boutique catalog, which allows for total customization freedom and facilitates the integration of metal into different interior design proposals. In addition, there is the option of making the base in a brass finish, commonly known as Aged Brass, a finish that brings warmth and material depth to the piece.

Other metallic finishes:

Both finishes offer a distinct interpretation of the metal: the brushed stainless steel provides a more sober and contemporary presence, while the mirror-polished stainless steel enhances the brightness, reflection, and the more technical or decorative character of the piece and brass.

Metal Maintenance

To keep the metal in good condition, we recommend cleaning the metal parts with neutral soap and a soft cloth lightly dampened with water, then immediately drying with a clean, dry cloth.

Aggressive products such as the following are not recommended:

  • acids,
  • bleach,
  • solvents,
  • disinfectants,
  • or abrasive agents such as scourers or bristly brushes.

These types of products quickly deteriorate the appearance of coatings and can even cause corrosion.
