More Information

At JoverValls, we are a manufacturer of custom-made wall mirrors in Spain, working exclusively for high-end residential projects and the interior designers and specifiers who lead them. Our work sits at the intersection of architectural scale and artisanal precision. We produce bespoke wall mirrors and full length mirrors with a hand-applied antiqued glass finish, each one made from scratch to the exact form, size and proportion the project demands.

As an atelier specialising in handcrafted mirrors with antiqued glass, we work from a standard collection of sizes and formats, and we manufacture to any other dimension a project requires. Both routes are made by hand, in the same workshop, to the same standard. The Homo Faber Guide by the Michelangelo Foundation, the international reference for European artisanal heritage, lists JoverValls among the makers it recognises, which reflects the craft standard we hold ourselves to.

Bespoke wall mirrors made to measure for your space

Our standard sizes cover the majority of residential specifications, and when a project falls outside them, there is no dimensional or formal limit to what we can produce

A large bespoke wall mirror for a monumental entrance hall, a full length mirror of singular silhouette for a private dressing room, a shaped panel for an architecturally complex wall: we produce all of these without compromise. Our capacity as a high-end handcrafted mirror studio with an in-house workshop means that scale, proportion and form are entirely subject to the specification.

This flexibility matters in high-end residential work, where finishes and proportions are part of the architectural language of the interior. We produce each piece to serve that language precisely.

Hanging or leaning: how to place a full length mirror

A full length mirror can be fixed to the wall or positioned to lean against it. Both placements are legitimate design decisions, and both affect the reading of a space. A fixed full length mirror integrates into the architecture and becomes part of the wall plane. A leaning mirror introduces depth and a degree of informality that suits certain residential settings.

As a specialist in custom full length mirrors, we produce pieces suited to either placement. We supply wall fixings with every mirror we make, designed for secure installation regardless of size or weight. If the piece is intended to lean, we advise on proportion and finish accordingly. Either way, the mirror is made to the exact measurement the space requires.

Aged glass at full scale: patchwork, bevelled and frameless options

The aged glass finish is what distinguishes our mirrors most immediately. We apply it by hand, piece by piece, in our workshop in Spain. There are no mechanical processes involved, no printing, no prefabricated films. The finish is entirely artisanal, and because it is applied by hand, no two mirrors are identical. Every surface carries its own tonal variation, its own visual depth, its own irregularity.

That irreproducibility is not a limitation. It is the point.

We work at full architectural scale, producing antique mirror panels that function as single integrated surfaces or as composed patchwork arrangements. Bevelled options are available. Frameless configurations allow the glass itself to read as the object. The choice between these depends on the spatial context and the interior language the designer is working within. We advise on each configuration as part of the initial consultation.

The Antique Boutique line, incorporated into JoverValls in 2022, brings over twenty years of accumulated expertise in hand-aged mirror production to every commission we take on. It is not a separate range. It is part of the foundation of what we make.

Brass frames and frameless options

We produce bespoke wall mirrors in both framed and frameless configurations. Brass frames are available for commissions where the profile of the piece is part of its presence in the room. The frame is made to the same measure as the mirror itself, and the finish is chosen in consultation with the designer or specifier.

Frameless bespoke wall mirrors read differently in a space. The glass occupies the wall without mediation. This option is particularly suited to contemporary interiors where architectural restraint defines the aesthetic. As a producer of wall mirrors with hand-applied antiqued finishes, we approach both configurations with the same standard of craft. The finish does not change. Only the edge does.

Our broader approach to glass, mirrors, metal and materials can be explored in JoverValls materials and finishes.

How to order a bespoke wall mirror

Our process is designed to support collaboration at a distance. Interior designers and specifiers across the United States and northern Europe work with us remotely from the first enquiry to final delivery.

The first step is a project consultation, in which we gather the dimensional, formal and finish requirements for the commission. We then confirm the specification and the lead time before production begins. Manufacturing takes six weeks from order confirmation, plus transport. Delivery is worldwide, with reinforced packaging developed for long-distance transport of large-format glass. Wall fixings are included with every piece.

As a manufacturer of custom decorative mirrors for interior designers, we understand that residential projects at this level operate with tight timelines and specific logistics requirements. We structure our production and communication to meet those requirements.

We also work directly with private collectors and high-net-worth individuals who are looking for a singular piece for their residence. In both cases, the process is the same: made to measure, made by hand, made to last.

If you are specifying for a project, our Private Consultation is the place to start.

Frequently asked questions about wall mirror

Can I order a wall mirror in a custom size or shape?

Yes. We offer a standard collection of sizes and formats, and we also produce bespoke wall mirrors and full length mirrors to any size and shape, with no dimensional or formal restrictions. If the standard range does not resolve your wall, the piece is made to your measurement.

Is the aged glass finish real or printed?

The aged glass finish is real and entirely hand-applied. We use no printing, no prefabricated films and no mechanical processes of any kind. The finish is applied by hand, piece by piece, in our own workshop in Spain. Because each application is done by hand, every mirror is unique. The result is an authentic antiqued glass surface with the tonal variation and visual depth that mechanical reproduction cannot replicate.

Do you ship bespoke mirrors outside Spain?

Yes. We offer worldwide shipping on all commissions, with reinforced packaging developed specifically for the transport of large-format bespoke wall mirrors and full length mirrors. We ship regularly to the United States and northern Europe.

What wall fixings are included?

Every mirror we produce is supplied with wall fixings, included as standard with each commission, regardless of size, format or configuration. If you have specific installation requirements, we discuss these during the consultation phase.

How long does production take?

The manufacturing lead time for a bespoke wall mirror is six weeks from the confirmation of the order, plus transport. We communicate the full delivery timeline clearly at the point of order confirmation so that the piece can be integrated into the project schedule.

What is the difference between a wall mirror and a full length mirror?

A wall mirror is defined by its relationship to a wall surface and can be of any size or format. A full length mirror is specifically proportioned to reflect a standing figure from head to floor, and it is typically placed either fixed to the wall or leaning against it. At JoverValls, both types are made to measure, both are available with the same hand-applied antiqued glass finish, and both are produced in our workshop in Spain without restrictions on size or shape. The distinction is one of function and placement. The standard of craft is the same.
