Cushions handcrafted in our atelier in Spain
We make our cushions to order. Nothing here leaves a warehouse shelf.
Each piece is cut, assembled and finished by hand in Spain, which is why the material comes first and the design follows it. A hide with a strong scale pattern is used differently from a smooth one. The same care we apply to a dining chair or a headboard goes into a cushion, at a smaller scale and with no less attention. You can read more about how we work.
All our cushions share the same cotton and down filling, so the difference between one piece and the next is the material on the outside, not what is inside it.
Pirarucu fish leather cushions
Pirarucu is a freshwater fish from the Amazon basin, and its skin is tanned into a leather with a raised, overlapping scale pattern that no other material reproduces. It is firm to the touch, unexpectedly light, and it catches the light differently depending on how the scales fall. Most of the pirarucu leather that reaches Europe comes from community-managed fisheries in the Brazilian Amazon, where the skin is tanned locally before it is exported.
Almost nobody works it in interiors. We do, in three sizes, each with a leather backing that gives the piece weight and structure: small, medium and large.
Because every hide grows differently, scale size, tone and distribution change from one skin to the next. Two cushions made in the same colour will not be identical, and that is the point of the material.
Fur cushions with cashmere backing
Our Kaleidoscope, Harmony and Celestial cushions combine a fur face with a cashmere wool reverse, so the piece reads differently on each side: texture on one, warmth on the other.
The Opossum cushion follows the same principle, with a natural hide whose colour and marking vary across every piece.
Natural leather and hair-on-hide
Two pieces work the material more plainly. Our natural leather cushion is finished with hand-knotted tassels, and our hair-on-hide cushion keeps the coat on the skin, so the pattern of the animal stays visible in the finished piece.
Materials and finishes
Every hide and finish we work with is listed on our Materials page, with the tones and textures available across the collection.
The same materials run through the rest of our textiles, including our blankets.
Cushions for interior design projects
We work regularly with interior designers and specifiers who use our cushions to close a scheme with a material that is not available elsewhere. If you are specifying for a project, our Private Consultation is the place to start.

Frequently asked questions about fur cushion
What is pirarucu fish leather?
It is leather tanned from the skin of the pirarucu, a large freshwater fish from the Amazon basin. It has a distinctive raised scale pattern, it is firm and light, and every hide is different.
Why is every fur cushion different?
Because natural hides vary. Tone, marking, scale size and coat pattern change from one skin to the next, and we cut each cushion from the hide in front of us rather than forcing it to match a standard.
What is inside your cushions?
All our cushions use the same filling, cotton and down.
How long does it take to produce a cushion?
Approximately six weeks, plus transport.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to a wide range of countries worldwide. Availability depends on the destination and its specific import requirements. Contact us to confirm before placing your order.
