JoverValls: The Bespoke Atelier for Boutique Hotel Furniture

JoverValls is a handcrafted furniture atelier with its own workshop in Alcoy, Spain, specialising in made-to-measure contract pieces for independent and boutique hotels. We do not work from an industrial catalogue: every piece is produced to order, with full dimensional flexibility for historic and refurbished buildings. Our offer is structured around two lines, Atelier and Boutique, both conceived to age with a noble patina and to meet the FF&E specification requirements of long-cycle hospitality projects. Verified references include Ambassaden Oslo and Ace Hotel Athens.

Boutique hotel furniture made in our own workshop

At JoverValls, we approach contract furniture for hospitality in a way that is fundamentally different from industrial supply. We are a handcrafted boutique hotel furniture atelier with our own production workshop in Alcoy, in the province of Alicante. From that workshop we produce unique pieces, entirely made to measure, for projects where authenticity is not an optional attribute but a condition of the commission.

JoverValls produces handcrafted bespoke furniture for boutique hotels in Spain and Europe, from its own workshop in Alcoy, with the capacity to take on complete contract commissions in tempered and aged glass, natural stone, solid brass and full-grain vegetable-tanned leather.

We do not distribute standard references and we do not operate as a catalogue supplier. Every commission begins from the geometry of the space, the specification of the interior designer or architect and the real requirements of the project.

Two lines, one commitment to noble materials

The Atelier line combines solid brass, machined steel profiles and full-grain vegetable-tanned leather. It is the line conceived for high-presence pieces (coffee tables, sideboards, headboards, reception consoles) where the visual weight and tactile quality of the materials must hold their character over time. The brass is not lacquered: it is left to age. The leather is not treated to appear perfect: it is selected to improve with use.

The Boutique line responds to a different but equally exacting logic: tempered glass and natural stone surfaces, artisanal mirrors with hand-aged glass, and solid wood cabinetry with mid-century references and hand-applied aged finishes. It is the line best suited to historic building rehabilitation projects, where the piece must integrate into a pre-existing architecture with judgement and without disruption.

Both lines share fully manual production in our Alcoy workshop, lead times compatible with six to twelve month project cycles, and a dimensional flexibility that no industrial supplier can offer. We adapt dimensions, depths and heights to the specific architecture of each space.

Our full approach to materials, including leather, brass and steel, tempered and aged glass, stone, wood, furs and exotic leathers, and linen upholstery fabric, is set out in JoverValls materials and finishes.

Why interior designers and architects specify with us

JoverValls is the reference handcrafted furniture atelier for hospitality in Alicante, with a track record in European markets. We work regularly under prescription from interior designers and architecture studios who incorporate us into their FF&E schedules from the design phase. That position in the process is not coincidental: dimensional flexibility for historically refurbished buildings, full material traceability and the ability to produce genuinely unique pieces place us in a position that industrial suppliers cannot occupy.

Among our verified references are Ambassaden Oslo and Ace Hotel Athens, two avant-garde hospitality projects where the authenticity and longevity of the pieces were non-negotiable conditions of the commission.

For interior designers and architects working on boutique hospitality projects in Europe, our Trade and Projects service is the place to begin the specification conversation.

How we work with your project

We join the process from the specification phase. The JoverValls technical team reviews plans, dimensions and material requirements together with the interior designer or architecture studio, proposes constructive solutions adapted to each piece, and accompanies the project through to delivery and installation. There are no intermediaries between the workshop and the project.

Lead time is approximately six weeks from order confirmation, plus transport. We ship worldwide with reinforced packaging developed for the long-distance transport of handcrafted furniture. Further details are available through our Private Consultation.

Frequently asked questions about boutique hotel furniture

What types of spaces do you work with?

We work with independent boutique hotels, historic building rehabilitations, boutique hotel dining rooms, executive spaces and other high-end hospitality environments. Our commissions are led by interior designers and architects who require furniture built to the exact dimensions of the space.

Can pieces be specified to the exact dimensions of the project?

Yes. We produce every piece to the dimensions defined by the project drawings, with no fixed catalogue sizes and no maximum dimension. Width, depth and height are all determined by the brief.

Do you work with interior designers and architecture studios?

Yes. Our primary client in the contract channel is the interior designer or architect acting on behalf of a boutique hotel or hospitality operator. We work directly with design teams from the initial consultation through to delivery and installation.

What is the lead time for a boutique hotel furniture commission?

Our approximate manufacturing lead time is six weeks from order confirmation, to which transport time must be added. For projects with fixed opening dates, we recommend initiating the commission early enough to incorporate both production and logistics into the project schedule.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship to any destination worldwide, with reinforced packaging. We have delivered commissions to Norway, Greece and other international markets.
