Our made to order dining chairs enter production after an order is placed. We make and finish each chair by hand in Spain.
Each design retains its original dimensions and proportions, while the selected leather and metal finishes define its final character.
This approach keeps the lines, balance and construction of each chair exactly as conceived while allowing materials and colour to give the piece its individual expression.
Our dining chairs: the Atelier line and Chinese Chippendale
Our Atelier collection includes the Repose Chair, Hug, Wanderlust and Petite. Each has its own relationship between structure, leather and proportion, from the restrained lines of Repose to the softer presence of Hug.
Alongside Boutique, the Chinese Chippendale collection reinterprets the faux bamboo chair in three versions: natural rattan, removable cushion and upholstered. The carved beechwood structure gives the chair its distinctive bamboo effect, while rattan or upholstery changes its material presence.
Together, these pieces form the core of our handcrafted dining chairs: defined designs, produced and finished with close attention to material and detail.

For JoverValls Atelier leather dining chairs, personalisation is focused on finish. You choose the leather and metal colours available for the piece. We then complete the selected combination by hand in Spain.

Materials: vegetable-tanned leather, rattan and sling
Material is central to our handcrafted dining chairs.
We work with cowhide leather that undergoes a chrome-free vegetable tanning process, alongside steel structures, powder-coated finishes and brass details. On pieces such as Repose, the leather is constructed in double layers, with edges sanded, painted and polished by hand.
Natural rattan brings a different texture and lightness to our rattan dining chairs, particularly within the Chinese Chippendale collection.
Sling construction takes another approach. Instead of conventional upholstery built around a padded seat, the material is tensioned across the structure to form the seating surface itself. This creates a lighter visual profile and makes the relationship between material, structure and support an essential part of the design.

Our Curated dining chairs sit alongside our made to order collection but follow a different logic.
The current selection includes a set of four French Riviera rattan dining chairs, a pair of Napoleon III Neoclassical chairs and a set of six Italian mid-century dining chairs in beech and bouclé.
We select these vintage pieces individually and restore them when required. Each piece or set is unique and offered as shown. Its dimensions, materials and finishes cannot be changed.
The advantage is immediate availability. Curated dining chairs are ready to ship, making them a natural counterpart to our handcrafted dining chairs when a project requires pieces without a production lead time.
How to order your dining chairs
Choose your preferred Atelier design, review its measurements and select from the available material and colour options. Once your specification is confirmed, the chair enters production in our Spanish atelier.
